About
Hi! I’m Joaquina, a Product Designer based in Berlin.
Over the last six years, I’ve been working as a Product/ UX & UI designer in cross-functional teams, designing a variety of end-to-end products, including responsive websites, mobile applications, and cloud-based SaaS solutions that incorporate state-of-the-art technologies such as AI and eye-tracking.
This experience has deepened my knowledge about optimising design processes to meet product goals while focusing on user needs.
I also have over 10 years of experience working as a web designer, graphic designer and visual artist.
While working as a designer for artists taught me to work aesthetically and with perfect attention to detail in my work, collaborating for non-profits and social organisations reinforced my focus in accessible and inclusive design.
My experience in visual arts trained me to be more curious about different disciplines, to think critically and outside the box.

Facts about me
🌞 I grew up in Valencia, Spain, where even winter days are sunny! (summers can feel like hell though!)
👯♀️ I have one twin and two brothers.👬
🥘 As a true Valencian, I learned to make paella at 14, when my town encouraged teens to join the paella contest by giving out free wine. You can imagine how that turned out…
🥗 I love cooking for friends and having friends cook for me, especially when we are from other countries and can taste something totally new!
📺 I like watching documentaries and drag queen shows.👨🏻🎤
🚴🏻♀️ I love flat cities with huge bike lanes, like Berlin, where riding a bike is (mostly) a pleasure.
✏️ I love drawing anything on my tablet, from quick sketches to ambitious interior design plans (that may or may not ever be realized).
🪚 I love to do home-DIY projects.
🌳 I love having lots of easy-to-care-for plants at home to feel more connected to nature somehow.
🗣️ I love German untranslatable words that express whole new concepts, like “Kummerspeck”, “Schadenfreude” or the “Innerer Schweinehund”.
